Gustav Windel (* December 14, 1873, Senne near Bielefeld; † October 3, 1954) was a German industrialist.
Windel studied at the technical college in Hagen and at the technical university in Hannover. Afterwards he joined his parents’ yarn and textile finishing company "Hermann Windel GmbH" in the town of Windelsbleiche. In 1898 he took over management of the family company and in 1904 he became the owner. Under Windel’s management the company gained an excellent reputation in the textile finishing industry.
Windel was also chairman of the supervisory board at the "Bielefelder AG für mechanische Weberei" (a weaving mill) and a member of the supervisory board at the "Ausrüstungsanstalt Wiesental AG" (a company for equipment) in Brombach. He was a member of the chamber of commerce in Bielefeld and chairman of the textile trade association as well as of the association of West German textile finishing companies. In 1931 he purchased the manor house "Schlüsselburg" which is still owned by the family today.
