Dial: enamel, radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds, serpent hands. Movm.: full plate movement in the similar shape of the case, keywind, firegilt, signed, applied pierced and florally engraved ornaments, chain/ fusee, square baluster pillars, cylinder escapement, three-arm steel balance, fine florally engraved, pierced balance cock with mascaron, chatoned diamond endstone on balance. Benjamin Gray (1676 - 1764) Benjamin Gray is recorded as an eminent maker working in Pall Mall with his partner Justin Vulliamy. They were appointed clockmakers to the King.
