Erwin Sattler, München, "Troja - Classica Secunda", Movement No. 19, Cal. 1965, Height 2160 mm, circa 2008
A remarkable precision regulator with Invar pendulum and aneroid - one month power reserve
Case: black lacquered with walnut burle wood. Dial: regulator dial, silvered, visible escapement. Movm.: brass plate movement, Graham escapement with agate pallets, pendulum spring suspension.
The case is impressive in its height, the condition is practically new and the technical execution is remarkable: The model "Troja" fitted with the "Classica Secunda" calibre is a striking highlight of modern clockmaking - according to the manufacturer information the clock is accurate to 1-2 seconds a month, which is due to the traditional Graham escapement in combination with the modern invar pendulum. A drawer with accessories holds among other things the crank handle, weights for fine adjustment and forceps; seven side drawers behind the clock offer additional storage space for valuables. The show-stopper, however, is hidden in the base of this large timepiece: a full-size strongbox that complies with standard insurance requirements keeps watches, jewellery and documents safe behind its combination lock.
