A precision regulator in mint condition with Invar pendulum, aneroid, regulator dial and spring impulse escapement according to Prof. Ludwig Strasser - one month power reserve - with numerous accessories in a fine wooden box, user guide and original packaging by Sattler
Case: solid exotic wood, inlayed burl walnut. Dial: silvered. Movm.: brass full plate movement, gilt, lever with adjustable ruby pallets.
A "queen among the precision pendulum clocks" - that is the name the Erwin Sattler company gave their model with a free constant force escapement as invented by Ludwig Strasser in 1958; the launch of a revived version of this legendary escapement type was eagerly awaited at the Inhorgenta fair in 1996. The semi-circular crystal glass case and the cut-out dial guarantee perfect visibility of the movement and the escapement mechanism from all sides - a truly fascinating perspective because all parts were finished to perfection in a marvellous combination of traditional clock making and the most modern materials. The condition of this clock is as new and it even comes with the original shipping box and the custom-made foam packaging. Today the resale price of this clock is 67,000 euros.
