Vacheron & Constantin à Genève, Movement No. 520893, Case No. 357386, Ref. 6066, Cal. P453/3B, 34 mm, circa 1960
A vintage Geneva wristwatch with facetted lugs in the shape of arrow-heads
Case: 18k gold, push back. Dial: silvered.
This reference is once again proof of Vacheron & Constantin’s exceptional competence in creating pieces of supreme elegance and subtle extravagance. The faceted lugs are shaped like arrow heads and go extremely well with the applied faceted indexes on the dial. In keeping with classic Vacheron & Constantin style, the dial bears the company’s traditional Maltese cross sign and the luminous gold dauphine hands correspond warmly with the slight patina of the dial and the fine subsidiary second at 6 o'clock.
The manual-wind calibre is rhodium-plated and decorated with Geneva stripe pattern. The lever movement is of supreme quality and finely finished with a Glucydur balance with blued spring and index spring fine adjusting system.
