Lot No. 395*
Estimate  1,600 - 3,000 €
This is a lot of a former auction!

Presumably Louis Elysée Piguet, Swiss, 48 mm

, circa 1880

An extremely rare quarter repeating pocket watch movement with alarm in a wodden box

Case: steel. Dial: enamel. Movm.: bridge movement, 3 hammers / 3 gongs, 2 barrels, gold screw compensation balance.

The extremely elaborate movement with 17 rubies, rose gold train, three gongs and two barrels was most likely created by Louis Elysée Piguet. It is set in a somewhat unsophisticated steel frame but still cuts a fine figure in its wooden display case.
Case: very good, later custom made
Dial: very good
Movm.: very good, capable of running, cleaning recommended
