A rare hunting case minute repeating pocket watch with Carillon and quarter hour self strike - "Grande Sonnerie"

Case: 18k gold. Dial: enamel. Movm.: 1/2 plate movement, 3 hammers / 3 gongs, gold screw compensation balance.

The movement of this timepiece was constructed in the manufactory of César Racine , who had his workshop in the Avenue de Nouveau Collège in Locle and specialised in Grande Sonnerie movements; he had them registered with patents no. 16122 and 18543.
