An exceptional precision table regulator with half hour / hour strike and 17 day power reserve
Case: bronze, gilt, oval ebonized wood base, oval plate with four very finely engraved volutes, four moulded and curled pillars supporting the clock. Horizontal "woodwork" with six moulded baluster pinnacles, terminated by an armillary sphere-like instrument, bell jar. Dial: eccentric enamel dial for hour and minute indication, large retrograde central enamel chapter ring for seconds, turnable enamel chapter ring for day indication, spherical enamel date band on top, blued steel hands. Movm.: solid trapezoid brass movement, gilt, polished, signature: "C. Detouche, 158 Rue St. Martin", solid movement pillars, 2 barrels for going and striking train, precision lever escapement, 1 hammer / 1 bell, pendulum guide with beat regulation device, heavy brass steel gridiron compensation pendulum according to Ellicott, facet glazed brass pendulum bob.
