A fine Breguet carriage clock with "Grande & Petite Sonnerie" and alarm - sold to Monsieur le Comte de Gondowich (Count Michel Gudowitsch, a descendant of Count Michel Wassiljewitsch Gudowitsch (1752-1818), major general, senior civil servant and half brother of field marshal Iwan Wassiljewitsch Gudowitsch) on July 14, 1842 for the sum of 1,200 Francs - with Breguet certificate no. 4462
Case: bronze, gilt, lavishly florally hand-engraved, facet glazed on five sides, lavishly decorated handle. Dial: enamel, florally engraved gilt mask. Movm.: rectangular-shaped brass movement, keywind, 3 hammers / 1 bell, 3 barrels for going train, strike and alarm, platform with duplex escapement, large screw compensation balance.
