Patek Philippe Genève, "Padellone", Movement No. 1119474, Case No. 332593, Ref. 3448, Cal. 27-460Q, 37 mm, circa 1977
An important automatic Geneva wristwatch with perpetual calendar and moon phase, with original box and original certificate
Case: 18k gold, push back, 18k gold Patek Philippe buckle, original crocodile leather bracelet. Dial: silvered.
Patek launched their first perpetual calendar wristwatch with automatic calibre 27-460Q movement in 1962 - reference 3448. This reference typically featured clean, angular lines and a wide, canted bezel; it was produced in a very small series of only 586 pieces in yellow gold and a few in white gold, as well as two platinum examples in the 1990s. The beautiful silvered dial has bevelled gold hour indexes, a blue moon phase with radial date and two windows for month and day of the week. Collectors lovingly call this timepiece "Padellone" (large pan) and consider it one of the most legendary and beautiful vintage wristwatches ever created by Patek Philippe.
This watch has never been on the market before and boasts a remarkable original condition with embossed enamel logo on the dial - without any signs of wear and tear.
