A heavy automatic split seconds chronograph in practically new condition, with flying eighth of a second "Seconde Foudroyante" and tachy scale - limited Ferrari edition no. 37 of 150 pieces, made for the 70th anniversary of the Scuderia - with "Ferrari"-red original box, original certificate and operating instructions
Case: 18k rose gold, screwed on engraved back, original 18k rose gold deployant clasp. Dial: silvered.
The "S. F. Foudrayante" by Girard-Perregaux was produced in a limited series of 750 pieces with individual numbered cases, it is called "S. F. Foudrayante", an automatic split-seconds chronograph, with coaxial pushpieces and jumping seconds. The fractions of seconds can be red more easily as the hand makers one revolution of the dial every second, imperceptibly dividing it into 1/8 of a second (half-quarters). It is equipped with its own barrel, which gives it a six-hour power reserve.
For more than five years Girard-Perregaux and Ferrari have enjoyed an ideal working relationship, based on their many common characteristics. In 1999, Girard-Perregaux and Ferrari have teamed up again, this time to celebrate the seventieth birthday of the Scuderia.
