An exquisite minute repeating hunting case watch with automaton and two jacquemarts
Case: 18k rose gold, glazed movement. Dial: polychrome enamel, screwed on figures. Movm.: bridge movement, 2 hammers / 2 gongs, gold screw compensation balance.
The two Jacquemarts are represented by polychrome enamel angels in a cloud above the dial. The angel on the left strikes a bell that is held out to it by another angel on a ladder; the other angel on the right strikes a bell that is presented to it by an angel rising from a tree and an old man is seen sleeping under the tree. The enamel dial with Arabic hours sits in the centre, right above a small subsidiary second dial.
