Case: steel, imperial eagle, marine number "3". Dial: silvered, up/down indication. Movm.: brass, chain/fusee, steel balance.
H.J. Kummer explained:
These clocks which are able to measure tertia are standard equipment for every observatory ... The instruments were usually delivered with a certificate by the national physico-technical institute... Most of them were used for military purposes."
