Caliber Peseux 260
Only 43 watches with this caliber type produced since 1948 by Ulysse Nardin are listed in the observatory records. The caliber was specially designed for test participants without a suitable movement of their own. The caliber is fitted with a typical arrangement; its prominent novel feature is the lowered gear wheel. This design allows for the use of a very large Guillaume balance, which improved the regulation immediately. Competitors of the caliber in the observatory tests were the OMEGA and ZENITH movements. The original condition of these watches is due to the fact that they were only ever created for the tests.
Ulysse Nardin's Caliber Peseux 260, 13''', quality A with 18 rubies, belongs to a series of 4 watches with the numbers 127 545 to 127 548 which were regulated by Willy Jacot and registered in Neuchâtel for competition tests.
