A decorative Swiss for shooting contests "Tir Cantonal Neuchâtel 1906", the case by Huguenin Frères according to a layout by Louys Chatelain. With a bowl of the "Compagnie des Mousquetaires Neuchâtelois 1476" and original box and certificate
Case: silver, lavishly engraved. Dial: enamel. Movm.: bridge movement, gold screw compensation balance.
The expertly finished case bears the Huguenin and Louys Chatelain signatures and shows the city arms of Le Locle, Neuchâtel, Môtiers, Boudry and La Chaux-de-Fonds – this shooting competition took place right in the heart of Swiss watchmaking country. The watch was created in the famous workshop of Ulysse Nardin and matches the occasion – the dial has different shades of brown and the hands are elaborately modelled in the shape of a gold and brown crossbow. In loving detail even the second hand has the form of a tiny arrow. The finely gilt movement with white stones completes this marvellous piece of art.
