Ref. 1675 The GMT-Master line was originally created for aviators and the jet-set. The GMT-Master was the official watch of Pan Am airlines and indicates time in two separate time-zones via the revolving bezel and 24-hour hand. The bezel is set to home or reference time and is used in conjunction with the 24-hour hand. Ref. 1675 was launched in 1960 and was available in stainless steel, stainless steel and gold and 18K yellow gold without the crown guard. From the early 1970s it was available in Rolesor (steel and gold). Caliber 1575 is an improved version of the caliber 1570. The bridge of the caliber 1575 is however still engraved 1570. A similar watch is illustrated in "Rolex, Collecting Wristwatches", by Osvaldo Patrizzi, 2001 Edition, p. 325.
