A very fine hour repeating carriage clock with half hour / hour self strike and alarm - with original velvet-lined morocco case Case: brass, gilt, Gorge case, moulded, curved base and cornice, the corners decorated with finely cast 3/4 columns with twisted flutes and silver bases and Corinthian capitals, polychrome painted porcelain panels to the back and the sides depicting gallant scenes, facet glazed front, back and top, waved handle with fluted middle part on top, rear bell and hammer for alarm, button for repeating mechanism. Dial: polychrome porcelain, gallant scene, white cartouches with radial Roman hours, subsidiary chapter ring with Arabic numerals for alarm, blued hands. Movm.: rectangular brass full plate movement, keywind, 1 hammer / 1 bell, solid movement pillars, 3 barrels for going train, hour strike and alarm, platform with lever escapement, screw compensation balance, counterpoised lever.
