A precision pocket watch with spring detent escapement, sold to company William Bond & Son, Boston and in 1852 and 1853 mentioned in their records
Case: sterling silver, polished, case maker's punch mark "GH" (George John Hammon). Dial: enamel, radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds, gold spade hands. Movm.: full plate movement, keywind, gilt, signed, screwed chatons, chain/fusee, moulded pillars, spring detent escapement according to Thomas Earnshaw, heavy "Pennington" type gold/platinum screw balance, freesprung blued helical balance spring with both sides passing terminal curves, chatoned diamond endstone on balance.
