A heavy hunting case pocket watch with minute tourbillon


Case: 18k gold, tiered, engine-turned, à goutte, gold dome with engraving. Dial: enamel, radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds, paste-set hands. Movm.: bridge movement, keywind, signed, nickel-plated, decorated, chain/fusee with Harrisons maintaining power, finely executed mirror-polished steel tourbillon cage, screwed gold chatons, pivoted detent escapement, gold screw compensation balance, pink gold train, freesprung blued balance spring.

Henry Delolme
Henry Delolme, located at 48 Rathbone Place, Oxford Street, London, was active in the mid-19th century as manufacturer, importer and designer of watches and chronometers.
Henry Delolme was born at Brunswick in 1799, the youngest son of watchmaker Antoine Niclas Delolme. He was working in London by 1827. On the 9th January 1829 he married Jane Amelia Labarthe in the Old Church, Saint Pancras, London. At the 1851 Great Exhibition he presented seven gold watches, and two marine chronometers, with isochronous pendulum springs, specimen of the movements, as made in Lancashire to the exhibitor's calibre, two specimens of watch movements, to the exhibitor's calibre. He furthermore exhibited a "Stethometer, to measure the comparative mobility of the chest in cases of disease of the lungs". He died in 1890.
