A gentleman's Geneva pocket watch delivered to J. P. Stevens & Bro., Atlanta, Georgia
Case: 14k rose gold, polished, engraved monogram "PD", glazed movement. Dial: enamel, radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds, signed, blued spade hands. Movm.: bridge movement, rhodium-plated, stripe-decorated, signed, wolfteeth winding wheels, gold screw compensation balance, index spring fine adjusting device, counterpoised "Moustache" lever.

The J.P. Stevens Watch Co. was established in Atlanta, Georgia in 1882; its founder was Josiah Percy Stevens. Stevens had acquired part of the Springfield Watch Co. and bought the parts for his watches from the Bowman factory. The company existed for only five years and produced about 169 watches; the company name though survived and was used for the production of other goods.
