A very fine, rare Swiss gold enamel snuff box
Case: 18K gold, later French control marks.
Rectangular with rounded ends. All-over with a light green enamelled "taille d'épargne" ground of golden and polychrome entwined volutes, flowers and foliage. Hinged cover centred with an oval, multi-coloured enamel plaque depicting a bouquet of flowers, engine-turned and translucent red enamelled background, narrow gold frame. The base centred with an oval engine-turned and translucent red enamelled plaque.
