A decorative gold enamel verge pocket watch "à quatre couleurs". John Marie worked in the New Bond Street and was bankrupted in 1771. Case: gold enamel, diamond-set bezel, the back cover with chased decoration in high relief "à quatre couleurs" and a polychrome enamel medallion depicting a gallant scene, diamond thumb piece, diamond crown, large lateral hinge. Dial: enamel, radial Roman hours, signed, diamond-set, filigrane hands. Movm.: full plate movement, keywind, signed, gilt, chain/fusee, squared baluster movement pillars, three-arm steel balance, engraved and florally pierced balance bridge.
