A rare pair-cased quarter repeating verge pocket watch "à trois couleurs" Case: outer case - brass, gilt, sound holes, applied shagreen with stud decoration, glazed, large lateral hinge. Inner case - 18k rose gold, floral gold decor "à trois couleurs", the back side with an oval, diamond-set cartouche with a bouquet of summer flowers on a chased gold ground, engraved monogram "LV", diamond-set bezel, the rim with geometrical pattern, rear bell, pusher for repetition via pendant, large lateral hinge. Dial: enamel, radial Roman hours, Louis XVI hands. Movm.: full plate movement, keywind, firegilt, signed, chain/fusee, 2 hammers, solid circular movement pillars, three-arm brass balance, florally engraved and pierced balance bridge.
