A rare gold enamel verge pocket watch with genre painting "The Barber Surgeon" Case: 20k gold, the borders on the front and back side decorated with engraved geometrical pattern and applied enamel flowers, the back side with an opaque enamel plaque depicting a genre painting, à goutte, large lateral hinge. Dial: enamel, radial Roman hours, stone-set hands. Movm.: full plate movement, keywind, frosted, gilt, chain/fusee, square baluster pillars, three-arm steel balance, large engraved and florally pierced balance bridge.
