Geneva/Swiss, 55 mm, 90 g, circa 1806

A gentleman's very fine, thin, half pearl-studded gold enamel pocket watch with Mediterranean harbour scene
Case: protective case - gilt, tiered, glazed on one side. Inner case - 18k gold, the back lid with very fine polychrome enamel painting of a harbour scene, half pearl-studded bezels, pendant with enamel decor and punch mark "DB". Dial: enamel, radial Roman hours, double serpent gold hands. Movm.: full plate movement, keywind, frosted, gilt, engraved barrel, cylinder escapement with brass cylinder wheel, three-arm brass balance.
