A decorative hour repeating carriage clock with half hour / hour self strike and alarm in its original leather-covered travelling box
Case: brass/ silvered, "Anglaise" case, moulded base and cornice with dentil pattern, the corners decorated with finely cast 3/4 columns with twisted flutes and Corinthian capitals, facet glazed on five sides, handle with fluted middle part. Dial: enamel, engine-turned gilt mask, radial Roman hours, small enamel chapter dial with Arabic numerals for alarm, signed, blued Breguet hands. Movm.: rectangular brass full plate movement, keywind, 2 hammers / 1 gong, 3 barrels for going train, hour strike and alarm, platform with English lever escapement, screw compensation balance.
