An extremely rare quarter repeating pocket watch movement with alarm in a wodden box
Case: steel. Dial: enamel. Movm.: bridge movement, 3 hammers / 3 gongs, 2 barrels, gold screw compensation balance.
The extremely elaborate movement with 17 rubies, rose gold train, three gongs and two barrels was most likely created by Louis Elysée Piguet. It is set in a somewhat unsophisticated steel frame but still cuts a fine figure in its wooden display case.
