A lot of 4 Longines Olympia chronographs in the delivery box
Longines Watch Co., Swiss, Movement No. 7692306, Cal. 24''', Ref. 4507 1/16, 66 mm, 261 g, circa 1949
A large, very fine deck chronometer with split seconds chronograph and hack feature
Case: steel. Dial: silvered. Movm.: 2/3 plate movement, Glucydur screw balance.
This is a unique collection of heavy Longines deck and stop watches which are all based on calibre 24. There is one deck watch, two 1/10 seconds stop watches with split seconds mechanism and fast balance as well as rare 1/100 stop watch. Its balance has a diameter of only 10 mm – the oscillation and the high speed movements of the anchor are hardly visible to the naked eye! Longines received sensational publicity with these watches during the televised Olympic winter games in Squaw Valley. For the next decades Longines participated in every mega sports event.
