Emerald Dagger with hidden dial A faithful reproduction of the priceless Emerald Dagger in the Topkapi museum in Istanbul. In 1747 Sultan Mahmud I had the original dagger made for Nader Shah of Persia but the Shah was assassinated before the emissary reached him and the dagger was brought back to Istanbul. The reproduction was created on order of the watch and clock museum in Wuppertal in 1978.
