Glashütte Original, Glashütte i/SA, "Meisterwerke - Tourbillon Regulator", Movement No. 019, Case No. 019/100, Ref. 1-46-02-03-03-04, Cal. GUB 46, 39 mm, circa 2008
An extremely rare platinum wristwatch in mint condition, with one-minute tourbillon and retrograde hour - limited platinum edition no. 019 of 100 pieces with original box and blank certificate
Case: platinum, screwed on glazed back, crown set with onyx cabochon, original platinum buckle. Dial: black, partly engine-turned.
This platinum timepiece from a limited range features a black dial on multiple levels, which is decorated with a truly exquisite guilloche pattern. The window revealing the polished steel carriage of the minute tourbillon is positioned at 9 o’clock and gracefully held in place by a large, beautifully curved bridge. Taking inspiration from the tourbillon bridge, the retrograde hours in a slightly recessed track on the right are indicated by a jumping, arrow-shaped hand. The minutes are displayed on a gently elevated central disc. Equally fascinating is the elaborately ornamented, hand-engraved ¾ plate with the tourbillon carriage (mounted on both sides) on its back. The movement has only a single barrel, which provides a power reserve of 60 hours.
