An important gold enamel pocket watch with two jacquemarts and three automatons: "The Angler by the Mill"
Case: 18k gold, tiered, polished. Dial: central gilt and engine-turned dial with inlaid radial Roman numerals, blued Breguet hands. Polychrome enamelling in the background: farm buildings before an Alpine landscape. Automaton "à quatre couleurs" with applied figure of an angler by a mill, the wheel is turned by the "water current". Top with two Jacquemarts "à quatre couleurs", putti sounding bells. Movm.: full plate movement, keywind, frosted, gilt, 2 hammers, chain/fusee, conical pillars, verge escapement, three-arm brass balance, fine florally engraved and pierced balance bridge.
