A hunting case pocket watch with split seconds chronograph
Case: 18k gold, engraved monogram, inner lid with presentation engraving: "A Rodolfo P. Peracca Las Empresas Petroleras Lottero, Papini Y Cia. Condor S.A.P.A. Ragor S.A. 1948". Dial: enamel. Movm.: 2/3 plate movement, "Swiss Patent 54714", screw compensation balance.
Rodolfo P. Peracca was an Argentine businessman who had close ties to London. He offered to do for Brazil what he had already done for Uruguay in 1934; he would have a government refinery built, train the staff himself, and supply the crude oil from independent sources.
