Rolex "Oyster Perpetual Superlative Chronometer officially certified", Movement No. 094886, Case No. 1614939, Ref. 1008, Cal. 1570, 35 mm, circa 1967
A vintage automatic wristwatch with centre seconds, so called "Zephyr", sold on July 5th, 1969. With original box, booklet with original punched guarantee, Bulletin de Marche Observatory Bienne, May 15th 1968 and 2 Rolex tags
Case: steel, screw back ref. 1008 II67, screwed "Twinlock" winding crown, riveted steel "Oyster" bracelet ref. 7205 with endlinks stamped 61, clasp 2/67, bracelet length 155 mm, total length 175 mm. Dial: silvered.
Reference 6582 of the Rolex Zephyr was first produced in the 1950s and later followed by reference 1008. The Zephyr model is easily identified by the characteristic crosshair dial and the bevelled bezel. Rolex launched a new Zephyr reference in the early 1970s - reference 1038 with square baton hands and imprinted hour indexes. That model also featured a bezel engraved with square markers.
