A gentleman's almost as new, heavy automatic wristwatch with perpetual calendar, moon phase, chronograph and engraved portrait of Kurt Klaus on the back cover - limited edition no. 458 of 500 pieces in rose gold. In February 2010 the watch was given a general overhaul by IWC Schaffhausen. With original box, operating instructions, guarantee card and accessories
Case: 18k rose gold, screwed on back, rectangular chronograph pushers, fast setting of the calendar via screwed crown, IWC 18k rose gold deployant clasp. Dial: silvered, engine-turned, applied luminous indexes, auxiliary seconds at ''9'', 30 min. and 12h counter, small aperture for four-digit year display, subsidiary dials for indications of the weekday, the month and the date, perpetual moon phase display, Kurt Klaus' facsimile signature between "4" and "5", luminous alpha hands. Movm.: rotorwind movement, gilt, 39 jewels, Glucydur balance, shock protection for balance.
Kurt Klaus
Kurt Klaus spent over 50 years with the company as a highly successful designer and inventor. During this period, his designs included an easy-to-use perpetual calendar that could be set using the crown together with a moon phase display that required no correction buttons. The limited Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar Edition Kurt Klaus pays a fitting tribute to an outstanding watchmaker.
