An attractive pair-cased gold enamel pocket watch with matching chatelaine "Token of love"
Case: outer case - gold, translucent cobalt blue enamelled Champlevé flowers and loops, an oval enamel medallion with an altar of love to the centre surrounded by an engine-turned and translucent cobalt blue enamelled ground; à goutte, case maker's punch mark "LW", large lateral hinge. Inner case - gold, polished, case maker's punch mark "LW", signed and numbered movement protection cap. Matching chatelaine, length 230 mm. Dial: enamel, radial Roman hours, Poker & Beetle hands. Movm.: fine full plate movement, keywind, applied floral decorations, firegilt, signed, chain/fusee, square baluster pillars, three-arm steel balance, cylinder escapement, fine florally engraved, pierced balance cock with mythological birds and mascaron, chatoned diamond endstone on balance.
