A gentleman's fine and elegant automatic "Futurematic" wristwatch with 30h power reserve indicator and crown on the back side created for the French market, signed "Clerc, Paris"
Case: 18k gold, push back. Dial: silvered. Movm.: oscillating weight winding movement, Glucydur screw balance.
The Futurematic was usually produced in 9k gold, in steel or in a gilded version. Examples such as this in 18k gold with concave bezel and lugs and an outstanding original condition are very rare. The silvered dial with rose gold applied numerals and indexes and the rose gold alpha hands provide a rich contrast to the fine yellow gold case.
