優雅的早期冠輪黃金琺瑯"à toc"二問懷錶
Henry Voisin à Paris
, Movement No. 660, Case No. 787, 38 mm, 47 g, circa 1781An elegant "à toc" quarter repeating gold enamel verge pocket watch
Case: 18k gold/enamel/diamonds. Dial: enamel. Movm.: full plate movement, keywind, chain/fusee, three-arm steel balance.
This pocket watch has a particular allure: its back is decorated with floral engine-turned pattern and translucent mauve enamelling and a border of opaque white enamel pearls. The edges on front and back show Champlevé enamelling. The watch has diamonds on the pushers that open the case. A perfectly preserved guild mark proves that the watch case was made in 1781; the charge mark is that of Henri Clavel (1781-1783).
Henry Voisin took the business from his father, clockmaker Charles Voisin (1685-1761) in 1760. His real name was Antoine-Henry Voisin, but he signed his works "Henry Voisin".
