A very fine vinaigrette with enamel miniature and two-colour gold decor studded with gemstones and turquoise cabochons
Case: 18K gold, turquoises, polychrome enamel.
The exquisite little box is rectangular and retains its original grained surface; the hinged lid has a wide rim and is decorated with applied green gold umbels, red gold petals and cut and set gemstones. A polychrome enamel miniature on the lid shows Lac d'Emosson with the Mont Blanc in the background. The base is decorated with chased flowers and scrolls of red and green gold and studded with turquoise cabochons. Inside, an open-work plate ornamented with vase and flower scrolls covers the compartment for the scented sponge - a show piece of superior quality and in excellent condition.
