A vintage wristwatch with single button chronograph, pulsation scale and concentric tachy scale, so called doctor's chronograph
Case: 14k gold, push back. Dial: two-tone silvered.
This is a truly breathtaking and extremely rare Gruen Chronotimer doctor’s chronograph in fantastic original condition. The striking 14k gold case has tapered, horn-shaped lugs and a chronograph button at 4 o’clock. The pulsometer dial is marked "Graduated for 30 Pulsations" and has a central tachymeter track and a red-tip chronograph hand that looks striking against the two-colour silvered dial. The dial is in overall pristine condition with gold indexes and fine Arabic numerals. The chronograph movement is fitted with a rare, in-house produced calibre with honed steel chronograph parts and ratchet wheel marked "Veri-Thin Patented".
