A very fine, rare Swiss quarter repeating Pendule d'Officier with quarter hour / hour self strike and alarm
Case: bronze, firegilt, entirely decorated with oak decor applications, the back side pierced and highlighted with red silk, chased bezel, engraved handle in the shape of an Ouroborus, 4 toupie feet, string for repetition, string for alarm. Dial: enamel, Arabic numerals, signed, central blued alarm hand, gilt Empire hands. Movm.: very fine round brass full plate movement, keywind, finely matted rack strike levers applied on the back side, 2 barrels, chain/fusee, verge escapement, five-arm brass balance, 5 hammers, 2 bells.
