A lady's very fine and extremely rare Glashuette wristwatch with oversized date - limited edition no. 3 of 20 pieces - with operating instructions, papers and setting pin


Case: 18k gold, screwed on glazed back, 18k gold buckle. Dial: silver, natural white mask set with mother of pearl, applied white gold indexes/Roman numerals, auxiliary seconds, date at "12", alpha gold hands. Movm.: 3/4 plate movement, German silver, "fausses côtes" decoration, screwed gold chatons, 5 adj., 30 jewels, hack feature, Glucydur screw balance, very finely engraved balance cock, incabloc shock protection, index spring fine adjusting device.

A. Lange & Soehne, "Arcade"
Shape and name of this watch were inspired by the arcades of the city palace in Dresden, which have similarly shaped arches.
This lady’s watch was first produced in 1994 and is one of the models - as is the Lange 1 - that Lange & Soehne presented on the occasion of the company’s spectacular revival. The most distinguishing feature of the watch is its generous date indicator, which is considerably larger and more clearly readable than the displays commonly used until then.
