A gentleman's fine, heavy, Scottish pocket watch with English lever escapement Case: 18k gold, polished, gold dome with dedication engraving: "Presented to Dr. Daniel Resident Surgeon Leith Hospital by the Officers & Constables of the Leith Police Force the Officials of the Sheriff Court House Edinburgh and a number of his Friends on the occasion of his leaving the Hospital 19th November 1875", case maker's punch mark "AS" (Alfred Stram). Dial: enamel, radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds, blued spade hands. Movm.: 3/4 plate movement, keywind, frosted, gilt, chatoned, signed, chain / fusee, gold screw compensation balance.
