A very fine, unusual and rare Hungarian table clock, presumably masterpiece - with a signed winder, inscribed "Tiz köben járó nyolcz napos cylinder óra" (ten cylinder, eight-day clock)
Case: ebonized, ogee shaped base with ormulu foliate mounts, 4 bracket feet, later rectangular glass dome . Dial: very finely foliate engraved silvered dial plate, brass frame, matted chapter ring with radial Roman hours, centre seconds, signature shield, blued Breguet hands; surmounted by a large very finely florally engraved platform with cylinder escapement. Movm.: trapezoidal brass movement, glazed on the sides, gilt, keywind, baluster movement pillars, ring balance.

The city of Pesten was to be later merged with the city of Buda to form what is now Budapest.
