A decorative firegilt Empire pendulum clock with half hour/hour strike
Case: bronze, firegilt, green marble base on gilt bun feet with engraving; case in the form of an antique portal: moulded base, chapter ring with flanking pilasters, architrave with eagle and poppy flower relief ornamental frieze, antique triangle gable with central laurel wreath and arch relief; cuboid top, sides with applied burning torches and meanders. Dial: enamel chapter ring with radial Roman hours, engine-turned centre and bezel, blued Breguet hands. Movm.: round brass full plate movement, keywind, anchor escapement, count wheel, solid movement pillars, 1 hammer / 1 bell, silk suspended short pendulum.
