Signed Breguet & Fils, Case No. 18451 34759, 58 mm, 143 g, circa 1810
A gentleman's quarter repeating pocket watch " the spinstress" with two automatons and two jacquemarts
Case: 18k gold, engine-turned, reeded band, pusher for repetition via pendant, case maker punch mark "FLB". Dial: enamel chapter ring, Arabic "Empire" numerals, gold jacquemart "á troi couleurs", upper part with a scene of two bell-ringing putti, surrounded by polychrome enamelled flowers, a harp between them; the lower part with the depiction of a spinning lady wearing an Empire style dress in front of a blued steel background, blued Breguet hands. Movm.: full plate movement, keywind, gilt, 2 hammers, 2 gongs, three-arm brass balance, fine florally engraved and pierced balance bridge.
