An important tank precision regulator - Type D - with Riefler spring impulse escapement - sold to "Warner and Swasey Observatory" of the "Case Institute of Technology"in Cleveland and delivered in 1906 Case: air pressure constant glass tank with glass dome, precicion mercury barometer. Dial: silvered, inlaid radial Arabic 0-23 hour indicator at "6", auxiliary seconds at "12", brass bezel, half-moon control window for electrical winding system, blued spade hands. Movm.: rectangular brass 4-pillar movement, first quality, matted, gilt, screwed platform with Riefler's gravity escapement and adjustable knife edge suspension for pendulum on agate discs, Invar nickel/steel compensation pendulum no. 726 - Type J, with aneorid and attached plate to put on weights.
