Case: 18k gold, engine-turned, reeded band, engraved and engine-turned gold dome, signed "Cronometro, Exposition Universelle, Paris 1867" und "Girard Perregaux,Chaux de Fonds", apertures for two integrated hinged mechanisms for bow setting and winding, case maker's punch mark "PMAF", lavishly engine-turned inner lids. Dial: silvered, applied gold floral ornaments, chased, radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds, blued Fleur-de-Lys hands. Movm.: bridge movement, rhodium-plated, stripe-decorated, freesprung blued spherical balance spring, chronometer balance with 4 screws and 2 elliptical-shaped gold weights, counterpoised lever, chatoned diamond endstone on balance, lever and escape wheel.
