Stopwatches for the measurement of torpedo running times and depth charge detonation
The Navy used customized watches for certain functions. For example, the 'U-Jagd' (underwater hunt) stopwatch was customized to show approach in sm (sea miles) and depth in m. These stopwatches were used by surface vessels while using depth charges to hunt for submersibles. Many different types of stopwatches were used for less unusual tasks, for example keeping track of torpedo running times, calibrating detonators etc.

- document: Copy of a service order of the Kriegsmarine regarding timepieces 'Mdv. 2456 of Jan. 1945'. Other documents concerning the use of U-Jagd stopwatches are not known.
