Case: 14k rose gold, polished, case design "Royal", gold dome with engraving: "Martin Halbkram K.u.K Hof-Uhrmacher Wien". Dial: enamel, Arabic "Empire" numerals, auxiliary seconds, signed, gold spade hands. Movm.: 3/4 plate movement, frosted, gilt, signed, screw compensation balance, index spring fine adjusting device, gold lever and escape wheel.
Martin Halbkram
Viennese clockmaker. He was designated 'Imperial and Royal Clockmaker' and in 1894 he was given the title of 'Grand Duke of Luxembourg Clockmakers.'
His shop was established on Kolowratring 10 in 1871, later moved to Kaerntnerstrasse 20.
