A rare Ship's chronometer with 56h power reserve indicator created by one of the most eminent German chronometer makers Case: mahogany, applied signature shield, hinged handles at side, brass gimbals and bowl, three-body with lid and glass. Dial: silvered, signed, numbered, radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds, gold spade hands. Movm.: brass movement, ébauche: Chronometer Werke Hamburg, frosted, gilt, conical movement pillars, chain/fusee, spring detent escapement according to Thomas Earnshaw, Guillaume balance by Griesbach/Glashütte with 2 screws and 4 weights, freesprung blued helical balance spring, diamond endstone on balance.
